As a teacher trained in Orton-Gillingham and working at an Orton-Gillingham school, I am dedicated to helping struggling readers gain the skills they need to unlock the world of words. I started writing our classroom curriculum because I couldn't find anything that met the needs of my students with dyslexia. That's when I decided to start writing decodable books. My students were eager to read chapter books like their peers, but I could not find enough that met their current reading level. I wanted my student to develop confidence that comes from success in reading. My books are designed to take readers on an adventure while also building their reading skills.
